Public places are made much more enjoyable when Rana gets going with her paint and brush. Furthermore, the subjects she chooses are relevant to that particular situation or location. From left to right you will see: the doors of the Ladies and Gents in cafe de Hetebrij in Zwolle, titled “Adam and Eve at the court of Edet”; The electrical house on the Groeneweg in Zwolle (there used to be a fish kiosk located here, which is still sorely missed in this neighbourhood – hence the picture of the fish stall as a reminder); the bus stop next to the Heinrich Bussmann school in Lünen (Germany). The pupils at this school helped with the painting. The telephone box next to the wine merchants Mondovino in Zwolle (apart from the jolly scene, account has also been made of the colours used in Mondovino’s house style).
